The Mising tribe of Assam settled in the plains of the Brahmaputra hundreds of years ago and until recently lived unmolested on its banks. However, a changing ecosystem and government action to protect a nearby wildlife sanctuary have led to the dramatic erosion of their fields as well as to threats of eviction. In this film the Mising air their grievances and explore ways in which they can protect themselves from social disintegration and under development.
