If you have lost a loved one to suicide, this program is for you. National Survivors of Suicide Day was created by U.S. Senate resolution, through the efforts of Sen. Harry Reid of Nevada, who lost his father to suicide. Every year, AFSP sponsors an event to provide an opportunity for survivors of suicide loss to come together for support, healing, information and empowerment. This is a 10-minute clip from AFSP's full 90-minute filmed program, which features a question-and-answer panel with "seasoned" survivors and mental health professionals. Click here to view the clip.
