Under a new debt relief programme co-ordinated by the World Bank, Uganda has been let off sixty per cent of the hundred and twenty million dollars it pays to service its foreign debt each year. The Uganda Debt Network is a Ugandan NGO set up to ensure the benefits of this are felt by all and not lost through corruption.
