Pacem in Maribus XXXII (Peace in the Oceans) - Waves of Change is a global, interactive conference that will break new ground by engaging women and youth in addressing climate change, ocean threats and sustainable ocean governance. An initiative of the International Ocean Institute (IOI), a United Nations-affiliated international non-governmental organization devoted to the sustainable development of the oceans, the conference will explore the most effective ways of supporting Agenda 21, the World Summit on Sustainable Development (WSSD) Plan of Implementation and the UN Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
